This school was started by a lay man under the name NBR Matriculation School in the year 1996 in a Simple way from classes LKG to V Std. In 1998 it was upgraded to X Std. In 2010 the school was transferred to Velankanni Trust and the school name was changed to Velankanni Matriculation School. Later on it was taken over in the year 2015, February 18 th by The Society for Education for Life and the school name was changed to DMI St. Joseph Matriculation School in the year 2018. The main purpose is to give Education to the Poor Children. The school is situated at Tiruchitrambalam Koot Road, on the Tindivanam - Pondicherry Highways. It has classes from Pre-KG to X Std with English as medium of instruction. Tamil is offered as second language. Hindi is offered as a compulsory third language.
